Yesterday I went our with my girlfriend for a movie at Setia City Mall. We've planned to watch a Malay movie but our plan changed when their TGV doesn't have any Malay movie on show. So we decided to go with Ted. I've heard about this movie before and people mostly said it was a good movie. So we've decided to just give it a shot.
Ted is a 2012 American comedy film, directed, co-produced and co-written by Seth MacFarlane, starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and Seth MacFarlane in leading roles. The supporting cast includes Joel McHale and Giovanni Ribisi.The film is the feature-length directorial debut of MacFarlane, produced by Media Rights Capital and distributed by Universal Pictures. It is currently the highest-grossing R-rated film of 2012, the 9th-highest grossing film of 2012, as well as the highest grossing original R-rated comedy of all time.
As the result of a childhood wish, John Bennett's teddy bear, Ted, came
to life and has been by John's side ever since. A friendship that's
tested when Lori, John's girlfriend of four years, wants more from their
relationship.
Filem ini secara kesimpulannya memeberi suatu pengajaran bagi saya. Watak John Bennett yang tersangkut diantara kawan baiknya Ted (a talking teddy bear yang comel tu) dan Lori, kekasih hatinya. Ted yang sudah dikenali John sejak dia berusia 8 tahun lagi adalah punca hubungannya bersama Lori yang sudah dikenalinya 4 tahun menjadi retak. Lori claims that their relationship needs new environment without having Ted around them because to her, she wants a more privacy and more mature relationship with John.
John finally decided to let Ted go by asking him to move out from their house. It was not easy for John. He was forced by the situation of trying to safe his relationship with Lori. Along the way, John still can't get unattached with Ted. They still hangs out together at Ted's new place and that makes Lori's patient reached its limit. She decided to end their 4 years relationship. However Ted being a true friend for John, tries to get them back together and promised to Lori that he will walk off from John's life. This story doesn't end there. Nak tahu apa kesudahannya, kenalah tengok sendiri kan?
Whatever it is, this movie really thought me something. In a relationship, it is really hard when it comes to decision making. Especially when you're asked to choose between your love ones. To me personally, it is so unfair for a partner to ask his/her partner to choose between them or his/her friends. Can't we have both? To me, apa yang penting in a relationship is understanding. That's the bottom line. If we understand each other well, we don't need to ask our partners to choose. Simple as that. That's my movie review with my own style. Suka hati aku lah nak review macam mana pun. Haha! But seriously, it's a must watch movie. Ted ni sumpah kurang ajar (in a funny way lah ofcourse). So, go grab your car keys, and bring along your love ones.
